Claire Virt

Hi everyone! My name is Claire Virt and I am the in-building substitute at AXIS. 

About me

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Colorado in July. I graduated from Purdue University in May of 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Global Studies. Boiler up!

In my free time, I love listening to music, doing anything art related and thrifting! I love being outdoors and have been enjoying exploring Colorado. Next up is to learn how to snowboard! 

Why I came to AXIS

My younger brother was adopted from Thailand when he was 6, speaking little to no English. 

As I grew up and watched him enter the education system, my passion for teaching grew. I wanted to make a change to view home languages as an asset to learning, not a disadvantage. Although I only speak English, I am fascinated with language and love learning from the students here.

I look forward to continuing my education journey here at AXIS!
